First Black student-athlete in Rollins history
Four-year member of the men's basketball team
Became team captain as a senior in 1970-71
Scored 8.7 points per game as a freshman
Improved to 20.7 points per game as a sophomore, 17.5 PPG as a junior, and 14.4 PPG as a senior, all of which were team highs
Led the team to a 16-9 mark in 1969-70, which was the best record in school history at the time
Graduated with 1,528 points scored, which put him 14th in school history at the time of his induction
Also ranked 14th all-time in rebounds and sixth in made free throws at the time of his induction
Off the court he was the President of the Black Student Association, a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, a Chapel Reader, and on the Homecoming Committee, Academic Standards and Ethics Committee, and the Committee of College Preparation Week
During his time at Rollins, Larry was honored as a Who's Who in American Colleges, an Outstanding College Athlete of America, an OOOO, and an Agernon Sydney Sullivan Award recipient
