Edward Payson “Ted” MacBeth was ranked the #2 Junior Tennis Player in Florida ( age 18 and under) as a Rollins freshman.
He was #1 in doubles for the Tars from 1973-76 and was named All-American in singles and doubles in 1975.
In addition to being selected team captain during his senior year, he was honored as Outstanding Student athlete.
After Rollins, Ted went on to win the Sunshine State Championship in 1978 and was ranked #2 in the Florida men’s 25 and over group in 1981.
