OCALA, Fla. (February 13, 2025) – The Rollins women's swimming team sits in sixth place after the second day of the Sunshine State Conference Championships, taking place at Florida F.A.S.T. in Ocala. The Tars scored 49 points on Thursday, highlighted by a top-five relay finish and a top-10 individual result.
Nova Southeastern leads the team standings with 296 points, followed by Tampa (231 points), Lynn (151), and Florida Southern (144).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Elliot Fox opened the evening with a 14th-place time of 10:43.04 in the 1000-yard freestyle to score three points.
- Katie Canty (10:45.35, 15th, 2 points) and Janie Inscore (10:45.52, 16th, 1 points) also earned points in the event.
- Madison Patel turned in a 23.27 to win the B Final of the 50-yard freestyle, good for ninth place overall, scoring nine more points for the Tars.
- The team of Patel, Taiylor Tegler, Sarah Brown, and Amelia Kondal took fifth place in the 200-yard medley relay in a time of 1:43.85, adding 28 points to the team total.
- Avery Bannerton, Carly Yeagle, Danielle Boland, and Abby Flood clocked a 1:50.73 to finish sixth in the B Final of the relay, good for 14th overall and six points.

The Tars will return to the pool for day three of the SSC Championships tomorrow, with prelims set for 10 a.m. and finals scheduled for 6 p.m. Tomorrow's events include the 100-yard butterfly, 400-yard individual medley, 200-yard freestyle, and 400-yard medley relay.
