OCALA, Fla. (February 15, 2025) – The Rollins women's swimming team is in sixth place after the fourth day of the Sunshine State Conference Championships, taking place at Florida F.A.S.T. in Ocala. The Tars have a total of 193 points through four days, trailing Tampa (714 points), Nova Southeastern (679), Lynn (458.5), Florida Southern (290.5), and Florida Tech (209).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Madison Patel won the B Final (ninth overall) of the 100-yard backstroke in a B-cut time of 56.10, scoring nine points.
- Taiylor Tegler took third in the 100-yard breaststroke B Final with a B standard-time of 1:03.25, adding six points to the team's total.
- Lauren Diehl hit the third B standard of the night with a ninth-place time of 2:03.80 in the 200-yard butterfly, winning the B Final and tallying nine points.
- Sarah Brown (14th, 2:07.48, 3 points) and Lizzie Sander (15th, 2:08.93, 2 points) also scored for the Tars in that event.
- The Tars closed out the night with Patel, Brown, Amelia Kondal, and Sander finishing seventh in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:37.11, scoring 24 points, while team of Abby Flood, Avery Bannerton, Brooke Postell, and Danielle Boland took sixth in the B Final, 14th overall, scoring six points with a 1:40.37.

The Tars will return to the pool for the final day of the SSC Championships tomorrow, with prelims set for 10 a.m. and finals scheduled for 6 p.m. Tomorrow's events include the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 1650-yard freestyle, and 400-yard freestyle relay.
