Tars Listed 10th in Nike/USA Lacrosse Preseason Top 20

SPARKS, Md. (Jan. 5, 2023) – The Rollins women's lacrosse team will open the season ranked No. 10 in the Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Preseason Top 20 Poll, which was released yesterday by USA Lacrosse Magazine.

East Stroudsburg, which finished as the 2022 national championship runner-up, is No. 1 in the poll, followed by Adelphi, West Chester, Le Moyne, and Grand Valley State in the top five.
 
Florida Southern is listed at No. 7, leading a quintet of Sunshine State Conference teams listed in the poll. Tampa slides in at No. 9, one spot ahead of Rollins, while Lynn comes in at No. 14 and Embry-Riddle is ranked 16th.
 
Rollins ended the 2022 season at 13-4, falling to Florida Southern in the conference semifinals. The Tars will open the season at Lenoir-Rhyne on Feb. 9. Rollins' first home game of 2023 will be a big one as it welcomes No. 5 Grand Valley State to Winter Park on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.
