INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 25, 2022) – The Tars have earned a bid to the 2022 NCAA South Regional Championships, which will begin on May 2, at Grande Oaks Golf Club in Davie, Florida. The Tars will be on the hunt for their 14
th National Championship and their seventh NCAA Division II National Championship. The top five teams after 54 holes of regional action will advance to the 2022 NCAA Championships.

The Tars will be joined at the South Regional by Sunshine State Conference rivals Lynn, Barry, the SSC Champions, Nova Southeastern, who will also serve as the hosts of the event, Tampa and Saint Leo. The South Region conference champions attending will be Anderson, out of the South Atlantic Conference, Columbus State, out of the Peach Belt Conference, UNC Pembroke, of Conference Carolinas, and West Florida, of the Gulf South Conference. Limestone and Lee fill out the field with at large bids.

Rollins is coming off one of their best performances of the year, as they took second at the Sunshine State Conference Championships.Â
Carla Alvarez Perez and
Bernardita Villalba each earned All-Tournament Team honors with top five finishes. The Tars currently sit eighth in the Women's Golf Coaches Association National Poll, and seventh in the Golfstat Rankings.
All Regional competitions will compete through the 54 holes of competition. The top three (central) and five (east, south and west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.
The championships will be held May 10-14 at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.
