BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 31, 2026) - Freshman Youyang Li put together an incredible third round, vaulting her from 20th to 1st place, and was named individual champion due to low score of the day at the Lynn Invitational, played at Boca Woods Country Club, on Tuesday. Her stellar effort helped Rollins to a 3rd place finish in the 13-team field.
Monday morning saw the Tars get off to a strong start as they carded a 301 (+13).
Addy Vogt led the way with a 74 (+2), with
Lindsay Lee right behind her with a 75 (+3).
Alisha Rametra and Li rounded out the scoring with equivalent scores of 76 (+4). Rametra had four birdies in her round while Vogt and Lee each had three. The Tars found themselves just four shots back of Barry through one.
In the afternoon session, Lee had the best round (73), but it was a rollercoaster that included four birdies and two double bogeys. Vogt and
Sarah Knitter were both good for a 75, while Rametra and Li each carded a 76. While the team's 299 overall was an improvement from round one, five other teams had more luck in the round, dropping the Tars down the standings by a few spots.
After a good night's rest, the Tars were back at it on Tuesday morning. Li must have slept well, because she came out throwing darts. Starting on hole three, she opened with four pars and birdie before her one and only bogey of the day on eight. She recovered with a birdie on nine, and then went nuclear on the back nine, finishing with five pars and four birdies on holes 10-18. She wrapped up with pars on one and two to give her a 67 (-5). She was followed by a 75 from Rametra, a 76 from Vogt, and an 80 from Knitter for a team score of 298.
"Youyang played an incredible round of golf today," remarked head coach
Julie Garner. "It was an impressive win in an absolutely loaded field."
This is the first individual medal for Li, who has started every tournament for the Tars in 2025-26.
Dallas Baptist took the team title with an 880 (+16). Nova Southeastern was three shots ahead of Rollins with an 895 (+31).
That wraps up the regular season for Rollins women's golf. They now have a couple of weeks before the SSC Championship, held on April 12-14 at Cabot Citrus Farms in Brooksville, Florida.
