BROOKSVILLE, Fla. (April 14, 2026) - Women's golf bolstered their NCAA resume on Tuesday, finishing the Sunshine State Conference tournament in third place.
The event started on Sunday, and the Tars came out hot, led by senior
Sarah Knitter. She ended her round with four birdies, twelve pars, and a share of first-place at even par. Freshman
Youyang Li was next in line, finishing with a 76 (+4).
Addy Vogt and
Alisha Rametra each carded a 78 (+6) to give the Tars a +16 overall score, good for third.
Monday's second round saw every team improve their team score from the previous day. Li was the standout for Rollins, overcoming a bogey on the first hole to finish her day at 71 (-1), helped by three birdies and 13 pars. Rametra, the reigning individual champion of the SSC, carded a 75 (+3). Vogt stumbled out of the gate with a quad bogey on one, but played even par golf for the next 17 holes to finish with a 76. Knitter closed out the tea score with an eight-over 80.
Tuesday was the final round with an early tee time of 8:00 am. Vogt rebounded well from her second round by leading the team with a one-under 71 in the third round. She carded 15 pars, two birdies and one bogey in her final effort. Li was two shots behind at 74, firing 15 pars of her own in addition to one birdie and two bogeys. Knitter and
Lindsay Lee both turned in cards with 77 to wrap up the Tars team score.
Rollins ended up on an island in third-place, finishing eleven shots behind second-place Lynn and 17 shots in front of fourth-place Palm Beach Atlantic. Nova Southeastern took the team title with a final of 892, one shot ahead of Lynn.
On the individual board, Alexandra Remalkus was this year's champion, shooting an even par 216. Lynn's Amelia Ruiz Topali was in second with a 218, followed by the Tars' Li at 220 (+4).
Rollins will now wait until April 26 to see if they are selected for the NCAA South/Southeast Regional.
