LAKELAND, Fla. (April 10, 2022) – Rollins opened the Sunshine State Conference Championship with a round of one over par, to sit in a tied for second place.Â
Warut Wongrungroj leads Rollins, and is one of a pair of Tars inside the top five.

The Tars carded a 289 over their first 18 holes, good for one over par. Rollins sits tied with Palm Beach Atlantic in second.

Top ranked Barry leads the field by three strokes, shooting two under, 286, in the first round. Rollins and Palm Beach Atlantic are two strokes ahead of Saint Leo in the fourth spot. Lynn and Nova Southeastern are tied for fifth.

Warut Wongrungroj registered seven birdies, and was four under on the front nine, on his way to a three under day, and a third place position.Â
Danny Taggart is alone in fifth, after closing his first round with a score of three under on the back nine, helping him to a two under, 70, overall.Â
Connor Jones and
Nicholas Diebel registered matching scores of three over, 75, to sit in a tie for 27
th.Â
Jacob Hair, in 47
th, rounds out the Rollins line up.

William Hartford and Jacob Shamblin, both of Palm Beach Atlantic, sit one and two, at six under and four under respectively. Wongrungroj is tied with Marcus Dahl of Barry in third. Taggart sits alone in fifth.
