EATONTON, Ga. (March 21, 2022) – The Tars sit in 14
th position after two rounds of play at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College.Â
Nicholas Diebel led the way for Rollins through 36 holes, posting a score of six over.

Rollins opened with a score of 304, 24 over par, in the first round, to sit in 14
th after 18 holes. The Tars improved immensely over the second round, shooting a six over, 286, to close the first day. Unfortunately, the round was not enough to move the Tars up the leaderboard. The Tars currently sit four shots back of Saint Leo in 13
th position.

Barry leads the way. The top-ranked Buccaneers were the only team below par with a 36 hole total of three under. Clayton State, at two over, and West Florida, a three over are locked in a tight battle for silver and bronze. Lander and Georgia Southwestern round out the top five.

Diebel opened with a 75, but managed a one over, 71, in the second round, to sit with a 36 hole total of 146, and tied for 42
nd place. The senior birdied three of the final five holes to end his second round strong and climb the rankings.
Danny Taggart sits right behind his teammate at seven over, carding rounds of 73 and 74. Â
Warut Wongrungroj opened with a 78 before matching Diebel with a second round 71, climbing eight spots on the leaderboard to finish the day in a tie for 57
th. Will Koepke shot rounds of 79 and 71, to continue the trend of Tars improving throughout the first 36 holes. Connor Jones completes the Rollins line up with a score of 151 over the first 36 holes.

Barry's A.J. Ewart opened the event with a score of seven under to take the lead after day one. West Florida's Chis Ayers held a share of the lead after 18 holes, but fell off the pace to sit second at four under. Luke Harries of Lincoln Memorial is third, followed by Hugo Lari of Lander. There is a three way tie for fifth featuring one West Florida golfer, and a pair of teammates form Clayton State.
