MELBOURNE, Fla. (May 11, 2021) – Rollins placed seven student-athletes on the All-Sunshine State Conference Women's Lacrosse Teams.Â

Gabby Tanner earned Second Team honors. Voting for the awards is done by the league's head coaches.

Liz Fahey led the Tars in goals and points during the 2021 campaign. Her 21 goals were the eighth most in the SSC, while her 26 total points ranked 11
th. Fahey was named SSC Offensive Player of the Week once. The Hagerstown, Maryland native added seven groundballs, two caused turnovers, and a pair of draw controls to her stat line.

Hannah Forbes led the Rollins defense that surrendered just 10.08 goals per game. The Lassiter High School product led the Tars with 18 draw controls, while causing three turnovers, and picking up five groundballs. She added an assist on the offensive side of the ball. She was named SSC Defensive Player of the Week once during the season.

Caroline Gastonguay was part of a balanced Rollins attack, scoring 14 goals and adding 10 assists, ranking third on the squad with 24 points. Her 15 groundballs was tops on the squad, while she was vital in the Tars holding opponents to a 71.5% clear percentage, causing eight turnovers from her attack position.

Bridget Cawley made an instant impact on the Rollins defensive side of the ball, starting all seven games for the Tars. The Bernardsville, New Jersey native led the Tars with nine caused turnovers. She also picked up nine groundballs and collected a draw control.

Eden Cooke paced the Rollins attack with 11 assists. She added 14 goals, to finish the year second on the team with 25 total points. She picked up seven groundballs, caused five turnovers, and picked up three draw controls for the Tars.

Megan DeGroat was a vital piece of the Rollins defense that allowed only 121 shots on goal all season. The Ambler, Pennsylvania native started all seven games for the Tars, causing six turnovers, picking up eight groundballs, and tallying one draw control.

Gabby Tanner registered a 5-1 record, seeing the majority of the action in net for the Tars. The Chalfont, Pennsylvania native made 46 saves, and allowed just 10.32 goals per game, while facing 147 shots between the pipes. She was named SSC Defensive Player of the Week and IWLCA National Defensive Player of the Week once.

Marina Jozokos of Florida Southern is awarded Player of the Year honors, while FSC's Kara Reber is named Coach of the Year. Ashlee Wilsynski from Saint Leo University takes home Freshman of the Year accolades.
