KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 8, 2026) - Rollins men's soccer is atop the United Soccer Coaches national poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon. The Tars remain unbeaten on the season at 2-0-1, and move up from #2 following a drop in the rankings from the reigning national champions, Midwestern State.
Following a national runner-up finish in 2025, the USC preseason poll had the Tars ranked second in the country. In their season opener against Lenoir-Rhyne, Rollins trailed 2-0 before storming back for a wild 6-5 victory. Two days later, they trailed Emory & Henry early before coming back once more to secure a 2-1 win. In their lone action last week, the Tars once again showed relentless pursuit when they conceded a goal in the first minute to Flagler before coming back to tie the game 2-2.
This is the first time since 2013 that
Keith Buckley's squad has held the top spot in the country. That year, Rollins opened the season with 16 consecutive victories, and ended up 17-3-0 overall, one of the best seasons in program history.
The Tars will look to continue their early season success with two games this week. On Wednesday, September 9, Rollins will host Embry-Riddle in a non-SSC matchup at 6pm. They will then head to Tampa on Saturday to take on the Spartans in the SSC opener. Kick off is scheduled for 7pm on September 12.
