WINTER PARK, Fla. - Rollins' annual Giving Day campaign was a rousing success on Thursday, thanks to more than 1,400 total donors. Among those, 302 individuals made a gift to the athletic department, bringing in a total of $85,681.
Rowing led the way in terms of total donors as 60 folks made a gift to benefit one of the largest teams on campus. Next up was volleyball whose campaign attracted 57 donations. Coming in third place was the Athletics general fund, which saw 47 people make gifts.
Men's golf was the top money generator, as they raised a whopping $12,975 on only eight gifts. The general fund collected $12,358, and sailing captured $10,820. Women's golf ($10,350) and rowing ($10,280) also cleared five figures.
By having 300 different donors for athletics, an additional $10,000 was given to the department thanks to a challenge from Ron Raccuia and Legends Global Merchandise. A big thanks to Ron for his generosity for the second consecutive year.
