Greetings #TARnation!
The PSLs are flowing and the vibes are high all around campus as we inch closer to dipping below 85 degrees everyday. We had a ton of action in athletics last week, so let's get you caught up!
- Women's soccer (4-0) remains unbeaten following a pair of road wins in Ohio. On Thursday, they slayed the Tiffin Dragons by a score of 4-0, and followed that with a 3-0 shutout of Ohio Dominican. Six different players scored the seven goals, showing the Tars' depth and talent. To date, Rollins has allowed just one goal (on a penalty kick) this season.Â
- Volleyball (6-2) headed north ... waaaay north ... to Fairbanks, Alaska for the Ice Block Challenge. Rollins split their games, with wins versus Alaska Anchorage and Rockhurst, and losses to Alaska Fairbanks (in five sets) and Cal State San Bernardino. Makayla Moran was named to the All-Tournament team following her four game totals of 46 kills and 17 blocks. Newcomer Vivian Scuteri leads the SSC in blocks per set, averaging 1.50.
- Men' soccer (2-1-1) split their home matches, dropping Friday to West Florida before rebounding with an impressive 4-0 effort against Spring Hill. Diego Barcelos found the net twice in the Sunday morning affair, and was joined on the scoreboard by Kaden Foreman and Yousef Shakweer. Â
- Sailing split their crew between Charleston and USF. In South Carolina, Caleb Kinnear took sixth-place overall in the Single Handed Championships, finishing in the Top 10 of every race he participated in. At the USF Trophy, Rollins took 7th and 8th place in the seventeen-team field.Â
- Women's golf teed up for the first time in 2025-26, playing in the South Regional Preview, hosted by Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. The Tars were sitting in second place overall after the first round, but struggled in Tuesday's final round, falling to tenth in the final standings. Freshman Leah Li paced the Tars with a +8Â overall, good for 13th in the 93 player field.
- Women's soccer is on the road for the third-straight time, heading to South Carolina for a tussle with the Sandsharks of USC Beaufort on Wednesday. They will follow that up with a weekend off from competition before the start of SSC play next week.Â
- Men's soccer has a shorter drive as they trek up I-4 to Daytona for a date with the Embry-Riddle Eagles. The game will count for regional rankings, but NOT in the conference standings. The SSC matchup will be held in Winter Park on October 25.Â
- Volleyball is on the road for the third straight week as they embark on a journey to West Virginia for the Concord Classic. The Tars will play twice on Friday and twice on Saturday before heading home and prepping for their first home game next week.Â
- Waterski is in action for the first time this year, squaring off against Florida Southern in their annual duel at Travers Ski School in Groveland, Florida.Â
- Sailing is splitting up once again. the SAISA Match Race Championship will be held in Charleston, while the Tars will host the SAISA Women's Top 9 right here on Lake Virginia.
- If you want your first taste of Rollins swimming, head out to the Alfond Pool on Saturday for the annual Alumni meet. Â
- Women's golf is right back at it, this time heading to the Keystone State for the Nittany Lion Invitational, hosted by Penn State on Sunday and Monday.
