Greetings #TARnation!
Time to take a quick look at the last week in Tars athletics:
- Men's soccer (3-2-2) suffered a 2-0 loss at Florida Tech before bouncing back for a solid 2-2 draw at home versus Barry. Justin Nelson scored and had an assist in the game, with Pablo Herrero scoring the other goal.Â
- Volleyball (11-4) scored a victory in the home opener against Flagler before dropping a pair of SSC matches against Embry-Riddle and Florida Tech. The Tech game was a five-set thriller with the Tars coming up just short. Â The Tars still hold the SSC lead in kills on the year with 698, 66 more than any other team.Â
- Women's soccer (4-2-1) had the same outcome as the men's team, losing on Wednesday and earning a draw on Saturday. In Wednesday's loss, Gabby Boyd and Alayna Townsend found the net for the Tars. The ladies have only allowed five goals in seven matches this season, with four clean sheets courtesy of Lauren Mehos.Â
- Sailing split their squad between the women's ACC Round One, hosted by Mount St. Mary's, and the Charleston Fall Interconference at College of Charleston. The ladies took 13th overall, with Annie Samis and Mollie Wood earning the top result, a runner-up finish in the ninth race. In Charleston, the Tars took 11th place with eleven Top-10 finishes.Â

- Men's golf is currently wrapping up their first event of the year, the Jay Jennison Cup hosted by Flagler. The Tars came out of the gate smoking hot, and are currently in first place with about nine holes left to play.
