CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (June 30, 2025) – The WGCA named its All-American Scholars for the 2024-25 year last week. To be considered, student-athletes must demonstrate high-level achievement with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and compete in 50% or more of their team's regularly scheduled competition through the season of nomination. Six Tars were recipients of the honor: Megan Docherty, Carla Alvarez, Elizabeth Kondal, Sarah Knitter, Sophia Fondenaer, and Alisha Rametra.
Docherty is a senior from Glasgow, Scotland. She played 34 rounds for the Tars, posting a 74.1 average on the year and earning All-South Region honors alongside an All-SSC nod.
Alvarez, a senior from Panama City, Panama, also earned All-SSC honors this season, holding a 75 scoring average through her 34 rounds on the season.
A senior from St. Augustine, Florida, Kondal saw action in all 12 events for the Tars. She had two top 10 finishes this year, including a fourth-place finish at the Augustana Spring Fling and a sixth-place finish at the World Golf Invitational.
Knitter is a junior out of Salzkotten, Germany, and saw 11 events this season. Her spring included a second-place finish at the Augustana Spring Fling.
Fondenaer, a sophomore hailing from Oslo, Norway, competed in 16 rounds for the Tars. Her season highlight included her lowest round of 75 in the opening 18 at the Rollins Legends Invitational this past Fall.
A freshman from Frisco, Texas, Rametra played in 28 rounds for Rollins this year. Her season included an impressive performance to win the SSC individual tournament title, including a career-low 66 in the final round.
