GREENWOOD, Ind. (April 1, 2025) – The College Sports Communicators (CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA) announced its 2024-25 Academic All-District Swimming & Diving teams on Tuesday, with eight Tars receiving the honor of being named to the team. Seth Basinger, Lauren Diehl, Luke Dinges, Elliot Fox, Evan McInerny, Madison Patel, Lizzie Sander, and William Slowey were all selected as Academic All-District honorees.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.

Basinger, a sophomore from Longwood, owns a 3.84 GPA in Business Management. He was also selected to the All-SSC Third Team this season. Seth finished fifth in the 1650-yard freestyle, seventh in the 1000-yard freestyle, ninth in the 200-yard freestyle, and 11th in the 500-yard freestyle at the SSC Championships. He also swam the leadoff leg of the 200-yard freestyle relay that placed ninth at the NCAA II Championships.
Diehl, a senior from Lawrenceville, Georgia, holds a 3.83 GPA in Business Management. She finished ninth in the 200-yard butterfly and 11th in the 100-yard butterfly at the SSC Championships. Diehl also qualified for the NCAA II Championships in the 200-yard butterfly, placing 26th in the prelims.
Dinges, a junior from Denver, Colorado, has a 3.90 GPA as an Economics major. He earned a spot on the All-SSC Second Team and posted a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly at the NCAA II Championships. Dinges also claimed second in the 200-yard butterfly, fourth in the 200-yard backstroke, fifth in the 100-yard butterfly, and 16th in the 100-yard backstroke at the SSC Championships.
Fox, a junior from Naples, owns a 3.84 GPA in Business Management. She posted a 16th-place time in the 200-yard backstroke at the SSC Championships this season and earned top-10 results in the 200-yard freestyle (9th), 500-yard freestyle (9th), and 200-yard backstroke (5th) at the IRSC Collegiate Invite.
McInerny, a graduate student from Lawrenceville, Georgia, holds a 3.72 GPA in his MBA program. He was selected to the All-SSC First Team and finished sixth in the 200-yard butterfly and seventh in the 400-yard individual medley at the NCAA II Championships. McInerny also won the 400-yard individual medley and took third in the 200-yard individual medley, third in the 200-yard butterfly, and 12th in the 200-yard breaststroke at the SSC meet.
Patel, a sophomore from Paducah, Kentucky, has a 4.0 GPA in Biology. She posted three top-10 finishes at the SSC Championships, including the 50-yard freestyle (9th), 100-yard backstroke (9th), and 100-yard butterfly (8th).
Sander, a junior from Memphis, Tennessee, carries a 3.54 GPA in Business Management. She was 10th at the SSC meet in the 200-yard backstroke and 15th in the 200-yard butterfly.
Slowey, a junior from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, carries a 3.59 GPA in Biology. He was named to the All-SSC Second Team and finished 10th in the 200-yard individual medley and 13th in the 100-yard breaststroke at the NCAA II Championships. Slowey also won the 200-yard individual medley and placed third in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard breaststroke at the SSC Championships.
In addition to being named Academic All-District, Dinges and McInerny were chosen to advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be voted on by members of CSC. The CSC Academic All-America Swimming & Diving teams will be announced in late April.
