WINTER PARK, Fla. (November 1, 2025) – Rollins returned to the Alfond Pool on Saturday afternoon, delivering a dominant performance against Barry in Sunshine State Conference competition. The Tars swept both team titles, winning 189–35 on the women's side and 198–59 on the men's.
The meet opened with a statement from both 400 medley relay teams, as Rollins swept the top three spots for both the women and the men. The women's A relay of Holly Hirsch, Alexa Kwarcinski, Gardner Viney, and Abby Jessup touched first in 3:57.47, while the men's quartet of Luke Dinges, William Slowey, Cole Conlan, and Keanu Garnier-Chan cruised to victory in 3:21.54.
In the distance events, Seth Basinger continued to pace the men's side with another sweep, winning the 1000 free (9:35.39) and 500 free (4:39.69). Carter Kegle added a second-place showing in the 1000 (9:48.19), while Garnier-Chan followed with runner-up honors in the 500 (4:54.01). On the women's side, Leah Fonnotto led with a winning finish in the 1000 free (11:07.71), while Julianne Armstrong dominated the 500 free (5:12.18), followed by Brooke Postell and Fonnotto in second and third.
The Tars carried that momentum into the mid-distance events. Armstrong added another win in the 200 freestyle (1:57.54), while Trey Carter took the men's race in 1:40.53, with teammates Garnier-Chan and Wade Chandgie close behind in a 2–3 finish.
Rollins swept the 100 backstroke on both sides, with Melanie Angelov claiming first in 1:00.66 and Nicholas Bonta topping the men's field in 52.75. The dominance continued in the breaststroke, as Kwarcinski (1:04.19) and Taiylor Tegler (1:04.40) went 1–2 for the women, while Slowey led a top-two result in the men's 100 breast (54.92), followed by Corbin Songer (59.22).
Luke Dinges continued his standout season, sweeping the butterfly events with wins in the 100 fly (48.60) and 200 fly (1:46.46), with Valentino Montedrande and Diego Spielmann following in top-three positions.
Additional top finishes came from Angelov, who claimed the 400 IM (4:38.74); Jessup, who won both the 50 free (24.62) and 100 free (53.20); and Hirsch, who captured the 200 back (2:08.58). Slowey added another victory in the men's 100 free (45.48), while Matthew Mack and Bonta went 1–2 in the 200 back (1:54.89, 1:56.25).
Rollins capped the meet with commanding wins in both 200 freestyle relays. The women's team of Jessup, Kwarcinski, Dylan Beeson, and Viney stopped the clock at 1:37.76, while the men's relay of Chandgie, Hampton Walker, Kegle, and Sebastian Lopez took first in 1:26.20 to seal the sweep.
The Tars will return to action later this month, on November 20, for the Mid-Season hosted by Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
