OCALA, Fla. (February 18, 2024) – The Rollins women's swimming team finished in fifth place at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, held at Florida F.A.S.T. in Ocala. The Tars earned a total of 303 points at the event, finishing behind Nova Southeastern (1025 points), Tampa (821), Lynn (498), and Florida Southern (495).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Katherine Canty opened the evening with a 10th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle, clocking a time of 17:47.80.
- Elizabeth Sander was seventh in the A Final of the 200-yard backstroke in 2:04.12.
- Elliot Fox took fourth in the B Final (12th overall) of the same event with a time of 2:05.99, while Mackenzie Adams was eighth in the B Final, 16th overall, in 2:10.73.
- Abigayle Wood earned an NCAA II B standard with a fifth-place time of 2:18.67 in the 200-yard breaststroke, while Brooke Postell was eighth in 2:22.29.
- Carly Yeagle took seventh in the B Final of that event, 15th overall, with a time of 2:26.01.
- The Tars closed out the night with Sander, Dylan Beeson, Sarah Brown, and Amelia Kondal finishing sixth in the A Final of the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:32.05.

The Tars will now wait to see which athletes qualify for the NCAA II Championships, which take place March 13-16 in Geneva, Ohio.
