OCALA, Fla. (February 18, 2024) – The Rollins men's swimming team ended up in fourth place at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, held at Florida F.A.S.T. in Ocala. The Tars amassed a total of 428 points, finishing behind Tampa (854 points), Nova Southeastern (659), and Florida Southern (543).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Andrew Boles kicked off the night with a 14th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle, posting a time of 16:23.98.
- Nicholas Bonta finished seventh in the A Final of the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:49.62.
- A trio of Tars raced in the B Final of the same event, including Jaswanth Yannam (5th B Final, 13th overall, 1:52.99), Benjamin Mann (7th B Final, 15th overall, 1:53.28), and Skylar Murphy (8th B Final, 16th overall, 1:57.37).
- William Slowey grabbed an NCAA II B standard with a third-place time of 1:59.77 in thre 200-yard breaststroke.
- Tully Njoroge (5th B Final, 13th overall, 2:05.19) and Evan Larson (6th B Final, 14th overall, 2:05.36) also competed in that event.
- Slowey, Keanu Garnier-Chan, Luke Dinges, and Trey Carter posted a fourth-place time of 2:59.46 in the 400-yard freestyle relay to close out the evening.
- The quartet of Ben Robertson, Ethan Carr, Evan Larson, and Seth Basinger was third in the B Final, 11th overall, in 3:03.40.

The Tars will now wait to see which athletes qualify for the NCAA II Championships, which take place March 13-16 in Geneva, Ohio.
