EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Rollins men's 800 freestyle relay made history on day one of the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, earning an eighth-place finish with a school-record time of 6:26.44.
The quartet of
Trey Carter,
Seth Basinger,
Luke Dinges, and
William Slowey delivered the fastest time in program history, securing Rollins' first-ever top-eight relay finish at the national meet. Carter led off the relay in 1:36.86, with Basinger following in 1:36.09, Dinges touching in 1:36.91, and Slowey anchoring the Tars in 1:36.58 to cap the record-setting swim.
The Tars return to the pool today for day two of the championships, featuring the Tars' Will Slowey in the 200 IM.
