OCALA, Fla. (February 15, 2024) – The Rollins men's swimming team is in fourth place after the fourth day of the Sunshine State Conference Championships, taking place at Florida F.A.S.T. in Ocala. The Tars have a total of 339 points through four days, trailing Tampa (641 points), Nova Southeastern (464), and Florida Southern (430).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Seth Basinger kicked off the night with an NCAA II B standard time of 4:28.52 in the 500-yard freestyle, which placed him fifth in the A Final.
- Luke Dinges took eighth in the A Final of the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.08.
- Nicholas Bonta was sixth in the B Final of that event, 14th overall, posting a time of 50.79.
- William Slowey earned a B standard with a fourth-place time of 54.28 in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Tully Njoroge took fifth in the B Final of that event, 13th overall, in 56.51, just ahead of Patrick Lester, who was sixth in the B Final, 14th overall, in 56.89.
- Dinges then provided the highlight of the night for the Tars, as he won the 200-yard butterfly in an SSC Meet record-time of 1:44.92, which was also good for a B standard.
- Michael Tucker finished fourth in the B Final of the same event, 12th overall, in 1:51.97.
- Slowey, Dinges, Ben Robertson, and Trey Carter posted a fourth-place time of 1:22.37 in the 200-yard freestyle relay to close out the evening.
- The quartet of Ethan Carr, Njoroge, Keanu Garnier-Chan, and Tucker was second in the B Final, 10th overall, in 1:24.22.

The Tars will return to the pool for the final day of the SSC Championships tomorrow, with prelims set for 10 a.m. and finals scheduled for 6 p.m. Tomorrow's events include the 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke, 1650-yard freestyle, and 400-yard freestyle relay.
