FORT PIERCE, Fla. (November 23, 2024) – The Rollins men's swim team took part in the River Invitational hosted by Indian River State College, finishing fourth of five teams. The Tars scored 647 points to finish ahead of Barry (196 points), while trailing IRSC (1096 points), Florida Southern (840 points), and St. Thomas (773 points).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Tars earned a third-place result in the 400-yard medley relay on Thursday in 3:17.16, which included Luke Dinges, Tully Njoroge, Evan McInerny, and William Slowey.
- Dinges, Slowey, McInerny, and Michael Tucker placed third in Friday's 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:28.34, while Trey Carter, Seth Basinger, McInerny, and Slowey touched the wall first in the 800-yard freestyle relay that night in 6:35.47.
- On Saturday, Slowey, Carter, Basinger, and Dinges clocked a runner-up time of 2:58.69 in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
- Individually, Slowey (1:46.89) and McInerny (1:47.64) took first and second in the 200-yard individual medley, with both swimmers earning B-cut times.
- McInerny also won the 400-yard individual medley with a B-cut time of 3:52.08.
- Dinges took third in the 100-yard butterfly in 48.67, while Carter also placed third in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:38.01.
- Slowey achieved another B-cut time with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke in 53.91, and later he won the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:00.91.
- Dinges won the 200-yard butterfly with a B-cut time of 1:44.77, while McInerny took second in the same event in 1:46.13.
- Basinger earned a B-cut with a 15:55.62 in the 1650-yard freestyle, placing third.

Rollins is now off until the new year, when they will travel to Melbourne for a tri-meet at Florida Tech featuring Oklahoma Christian on January 10 at 3 p.m.
