Rollins Slams University of Northern Iowa

VALORANT continues their flawless season with another 2-0 win

Winter Park, Fla. (Nov. 19, 2024) - Rollins VALORANT continued their hot streak last night, bringing home yet another 2-0 win (13-0, 13-7) in the semifinals against the University of Northern Iowa. The team moves on to the finals, facing off against Southeastern Oklahoma State University on December 2nd. 

Arjun Gaind (Sugardad) took the kill lead in this series, racking up 39 kills across both maps. Chase Jaumot (Chase) followed with 30 kills, and Pradyumm Mallepally (Sheep) came third with 29. The team had a total of 133 kills, 54 assists, 17 spike plants, and five spike defuses.

Map 1 (Abyss)
 
  • Rollins had an incredibly dominant performance on this map, not allowing UNI to get a single round throughout. Rollins finished this map quickly with a 13-0, the first of the season.

Map 2 (Pearl)
 
  • Rollins started this map on Defense, scoring 8 rounds before the half ended. UNI fought hard on this map, but Rollins was able to secure the win with a final score of 13-7.
