GAINESVILLE, Ga. (May 8, 2023) - Women's golf began their NCAA postseason play on Monday, teeing off from the Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. After one round of play, the Tars find themselves in seventh-place in the twelve team field.

Katharina Hesse and
Carla Alvarez posted the top scores for Rollins on day one. Hesse, who was named first-team All-SSC last week, was the only Tar to card a birdie on the day. She shot a 39 (+3) on the front and a 36 (E) on the back for a score of 76, putting her at tenth place overall. Alvarez was racking up pars all day long, finishing with thirteen in eighteen holes. She shot a 37 (+1) on the front, and currently stands at 25th overall with a score of 78.
Elizabeth Kondal started her day with four straight pars, and matched Hesse with a front 39. She then posted a score of 40 on the back, giving her a 79 (+7) for the day. Bernie Villalba wrapped up the team score with a mark of 81 (+9).
Tove Rosengren was the fifth member of the Rollins, shooting an 83 (+11).
The #1 ranked Lynn Fighting Knights and #6 Anderson Spartans lead the pack with a +8 overall, one shot above third-place Tampa. Limestone and Lee round out the top five.
Maria Morales (Limestone), Adriana Iribarren (Lynn), and Haruka Muta are all tied for the individual lead at even par.
