Sarah Young. The first baseman sent a ball to deep left , allowing Waters to tag up and score on the sac fly to make it 1-0.
The Tars held the 1-0 lead until the top of the fifth when their team defense went awry. Rollins committed three errors in the inning. Tech used a variety of bunts and timely hitting to take advantage, scoring three runs on two hits in the inning, putting them up 3-1.
Rollins had a solid chance to score in the sixth, putting two on with only one out, but the Panthers were able to pickoff speedster
Ashley Troutman at third to quell the threat. They would hold on for the 3-1 win.

Game Two
Florida Tech 11
Rollins 2

Brie Michelli on a rip to center field..
After a scoreless second on both sides, the Panthers exploded for six runs in the third inning. Two singles, a sac fly and a three-run homer did the damage toput Rollins behind.
The Tars would chip away and get a run back in the bottom half thanks to
Grace Germer. She smoked a ground rule double, stole third base, and came around to score on an errant throw from the catcher.
Florida Tech added two more in the fourth on an Ella Gibson RBI single.
Rollins tried to rally in the bottom of the fifth.
Emma Gipple walked, and two batters later moved to second on a Troutman bunt base hit. Germer then added a bunt single as well to load the bases. Michelli was up next, and ripped a grounder up the middle. However, it found the glove of Kelly McLaughlin who stepped on the bag and threw to first for a nice double play.
Tech scored again in the sixth on a wild pitch, an RBI double, and a second wild pitch, taking them to the benchmark for a mercy rule win. Rollins batted once more in the bottom half, but could not put a run across.
Germer led the offense with a 3-3 day in game two.
