INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 11, 2023) – The Rollins swim team added another All-America honor to its trophy case on Saturday, the final day of the 2023 NCAA II Swimming and Diving National Championships.
Jill Hughes posted a 13th-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle event to earn Second Team All-America honors to highlight the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hughes swam the 1650-yard freestyle in the morning during the prelims, and among those swimming during that session she finished fifth with a time of 17:01.87.
- The eight fastest-seeded swimmers competed in the event during the evening finals, which bumped Hughes' finish down to 12th overall, which made her a Second Team All-American in the event and added five points to the team total.
- Abigayle Wood competed in her second event of the meet, placing 27th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:21.03.
- The women finished the championships with six points to finish tied for 34th.
- For the men, Ricca posted a time of 16:03.38 in the 1650-yard freestyle to finish 26th overall.
- The men wrapped up the event with six points to finish 31st overall.
