CLEARWATER, Fla. (Feb. 19, 2023) – The Rollins men's swimming team tallied 110 points on Saturday, bringing its total to 446 to finish in fourth place at the 2023 SSC Championships at the Long Center in Clearwater, Fla.

Tampa won the title with 935 points, followed by Nova Southeastern (748 points) and Florida Southern (603 points). The Tars closed out the meet well ahead of Florida Tech (287 points), Saint Leo (284 points), and Lynn (277 points).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Chance Ricca hit an NCAA "B" standard with a seventh-place time of 15:58.96 in the 1650-yard freestyle.
- Skylar Murphy won the "B" final and scored nine points with a time of 1:49.50 in the 200-yard backstroke.
- Tully Njoroge was fifth with a "B" cut time of 2:00.51 in the 200-yard breaststroke, while Connor Xu wasn't far behind in seventh place with a time of 2:02.32.
- The team of William Slowey, Ricca, Cruse Sweeney, and Trey Carter closed out the night with a seventh-place time of 3:02.01 in the 400-yard freestyle relay, adding 24 points to the team total.

The Tars will find out which swimmers will get the chance to compete at the 2023 NCAA II Swimming and Diving Championships when the official qualification lists are announced on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
