WINTER PARK, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2023) – The Rollins women's swimming team earned its seventh win of the season in convincing fashion on Saturday, defeating visiting Florida Tech by a score of 203-59. The Tars finish the regular season with a 7-5 record in dual meets, while the Panthers drop to 0-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rollins got started with a win in the 400-yard medley relay, as Amelia Kondal, Abigayle Wood, Lauren Diehl, and Emily Hennessy posted a winning time of 4:01.49.
- Jill Hughes grabbed a win in the first individual event with a time of 10:39.09 in the 1000-yard freestyle.
- Kondal earned a second-place finish with a time of 1:58.98 in the 200-yard freestyle.
- Alonna Clark clocked a first-place time of 58.66 in the 100-yard backstroke.
- Wood got the win in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.15.
- Elizabeth Sander captured a victory with a time of 2:10.04 in the 200-yard butterfly.
- Dylan Beeson stopped the clock in 25.21 to win the 50-yard freestyle.
- Sander finished second in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.87.
- Elliot Fox was the first to finish the 200-yard backstroke, registering a time of 2:10.46.
- Wood earned her second individual event win of the meet with a time of 2:23.17 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
- Clark grabbed another win with a first-place time of 5:06.05 in the 500-yard freestyle.
- Hennessy gave Rollins another victory with a time of 58.74 in the 100-yard butterfly.
- Carly Yeagle won the final individual event, posting a time of 4:37.34 in the 400-yard individual medley.
- The team of Clark, Sander, Beeson, and Hennessy won the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:39.14 to cap the meet.

The Tars will have a couple of weeks to prepare for the Sunshine State Conference Championships which are slated for Feb. 15-19 in Clearwater.
