Elena Beasley from women's soccer was named the Defensive Player of the Week for games played August 25-28.
Starting between the pipes, Beasley did not allow a goal in either game she played. On Thursday, in the season opener, Rollins played to a 0-0 draw against Findlay, due in part to the play of Beasley as well as a phenomenal effort from the Tars' defensemen. Then on Saturday, against Ashland, Beasley recorded three saves and saw a total of five shots come her way.
The two shutouts giver her seven in her career as a Tar.
Women's soccer travels to Morrow, Georgia on Tuesday August 30 to face Clayton State in the next piece of their 2022 schedule.
