LAKELAND, Fla. (April 11, 2022) – The Tars drop to fifth, in a tightly packed field, after 36 holes at the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Tournament.Â
Danny Taggart remains in the top ten, leading the way for Rollins.

The Tars added a round of four over, 292, to their opening round score of one over, 289, to give them a 36 hole total of 581, five over par. The Tars sit fifth headed into the final round, but are just seven strokes off the lead, and just three strokes out of third position.

Barry leads the way, carding an even par score of 288 to sit at two under for the event.  The Bucs are one stroke clear of second place Saint Leo. The Lions and, third place, Florida Southern tallied the days low rounds, 284, to move up the leaderboard. Nova Southeastern sits in fourth, one stroke ahead of Rollins and Lynn.

Danny Taggart went two over on the day, and sits at even par through two rounds, leading Rollins in a tie for tenth position.Â
Nicholas Diebel a one under, 71. The round was highlighted by an eagle on the par four third hole, and moved the senior into a tie for 16
th.Â
Warut Wongrungroj sits even with Diebel, at two over, after a 77 in the second round.Â
Jacob Hair jumped 15 spots on the leaderboard with Rollins low round of the day. Â The Orlando native registered five birdies, shooting two under, and moving into a tie for 32
nd.Â
Connor Jones rounds out the Tars' lineup in a tie for 36
th.

There is a four way tie at the top of the leaderboard. George Eubank Jr., of Tampa, Jake Nash of Saint Leo, Nicolas Quintero, of Barry, and William Hartford, of Palm Beach Atlantic are all level at four under par. Alejandro Madriaga, of Lynn, is alone in fifth, one stroke off the pace.
