MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (March 17, 2026) - Men's golf worked their way through two rounds across two days at the Bobcat Invitational. hosted by Georgia College at Cuscowilla Country Club. The Tars finished in a tie for ninth out of 14 teams in the field.
Some players only made it through a handful of holes in Monday's round one, due to rain, lightning, and tough overall conditions on the course. After picking up the remainder of the round on Tuesday, Rollins was near the bottom of the standings.
Andrew Clark had the best opening effort, finishing two-over with a 72. He knocked in a team-best four birdies during his round.
Sean Dobson and
Clarence Chapman III tied with four-over 74s. Dobson carded 14 pars and four bogeys, while Chapman had a roller-coaster of a day with three birdies, five bogeys and a double.
Jacob Hair closed out the scoring with a 76 (+6).
The teams hardly had any time to rest as they raced against the daylight to get two rounds in on Tuesday. The weather took a turn for the better in the final frame, leading to stronger scores overall. Dobson was the top finisher for the Tars, using two birdies and 15 pars to finish his nice round with a 69 (-1). Clark, Chapman, and
Mick Herron all turned in cards with identical scores fo 73. Herron had three birdies, and shaved ten strokes off his first round score.
Rollins finished tied with #11 North Georgia at 584 (+24). Georgia Southwestern took the team trophy, led by individual champion Jordan Jones who shot 132 (-8). Dobson was the top individual for Rollins, earning a twelfth-place finish at 141 (+1).
The Tars continue their March madness with a third-straight tournament next week at Nova Southeastern. The Shark Invitational tees off from Grande Oakes Country Club on Monday, March 23.
