GULF SHORES, Ala. (February 4, 2022) – The Rollins softball team will have to wait one more day to open its 2022 season. Friday night's season opener against Alabama - Huntsville, which was scheduled for 5:30 p.m. as the Tars' first game at the Gulf Shores Invitational, has been canceled due to inclement weather in the Gulf Shores area. All of the tournament's games scheduled for Friday were canceled as a result of a large amount of rainfall over the previous 48 hours, continuing into the day Friday.
Rollins is scheduled to take the field for a pair of games tomorrow, Feb. 5, to kick off the tournament. The Tars are slated to face Shorter at 3:15 p.m., followed by a 5:30 p.m. contest against Montevallo.
