CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 18, 2022) – As the Tars pass the halfway point of the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Championship, Rollins jumped into fifth position. The third day of the event was highlighted by gold medal performance from
Beatriz Olivieri in the 200 Yard Freestyle.

Jill Hughes and
Morgan Reilly each earned B-Final qualification in the 400 Yard Individual Medley.Â
Beatriz Olivieri then highlighted the Rollins morning swim, earning her place in the A-Final with the third fastest qualifying time in the 200 Yard Freestyle, stopping the clock in 1:51.40.

Hughes and Reilly finished 14
th and 15
th to earn points for Rollins in the 400 Yard Individual Medley.

Olivieri sat third after three lengths of the pool in the 200 Yard Freestyle A-Final. But the senior flew by her competition in the final lap, winning the race by more than a second. Her time of 1:49.29 earned her a NCAA B-Cut time, and broke her own school record by more than two full seconds.

Leora Rose,
Abigayle Wood, Olivieri, and
Anna Van Zyverden captured fifth in the 400 Yard Medley Relay, setting a school record with a time of 3:48.79. The team of
Danielle Boland,
Mackenzie Adams,
Sarah Brown, and
Sydney Willis took eighth in the event.

Nova Southeastern continues to pace the field, as the top four teams remain the same. Tampa, Florida Southern, and Lynn occupy the second, third, and fourth spots. Rollins moves up into the fifth spot. The Tars with 154 points are just ahead of Florida Tech with 150 points and Saint Leo with 146.
