CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 18, 2022) – Rollins held steady in the fourth position after the third day at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, in the waters at the Long Center.Â
Harold Lockhart starred for Rollins setting a new SSC Championship meet record in the 200 Yard Freestlye.

The Tars opened the morning by placing four swimmers in the B-Final of the 400 Yard Individual Medley.Â
Patrick Lester,
Marco Ljubic,
Connor Xu, and Jac Reville all reached the night swim.Â
Cruse Sweeney earned a spot in the 100 Yard Butterfly B-Final with a 12
th place qualification.Â
Harold Lockhart highlighted the morning, demolishing the school record in the 200 Yard Freestyle by more than two seconds, to qualify second in the event with a time of 1:36.62.Â
Chance Ricca also beat the former school record on his way to a seventh place result, and A-Final qualification.

Xu started the Tars' night swim with a second place finish in the 400 Yard Individual B-Final, tenth overall. He was followed by Lester in eleventh position, Ljubic in 15
th, and Reville in 16
th.

Cruse Sweeney tallied a point for the Tars with a 16
th place result in the 100 Yard Butterfly, touching the wall in 50.34.

Lockhart sat second after three lengths of the pool in the 200 Yard Freestyle, but closed with a miraculous final lap to take gold in the event. Lockhart beat the school record he set in the morning by more than a second, and set the new SSC Championship Meet mark, stopping the clock with an NCAA A-Cut time of 1:35.46.Â
Chance Ricca also notched a NCAA B-Cut time, finishing eighth in the event with a time of 1:39.25.

Reville, Lester,
Michael Tucker, and
Luke Bunnell registered a sixth p[lace finish in the 400 Yard Medley Relay.Â
Cameron Dolly,
Tully Njoroge,
Christopher Barker, and Ljubic earned points as the 12
th team in the event.

There was no change in the overall leaderboard as the teams head into the weekend. Nova Southeastern leads the pack, followed closely by Florida Southern. Tampa sits at 315 points, while the Tars trail the Spartans with 218 points. Lynn, Florida Tech, and Saint Leo round out the field.
