SET-UP: Ranked No. 15 in the nation, Rollins will travel to Florida Southern on Wednesday then Host to the Mocs Friday afternoon. The Tars moved to 16-2, 13-2 in the Sunshine State Conference, by taking the series against Florida Tech last time out.
WHO TO WATCH:
Rollins:
Ashley Worrell has been exceptional in the circle this season so far. She has a 0.99 ERA, throwing 59 strikeouts, and pitching in 71 innings. Worrell was named a NFCA Player/Pitcher of the Year Top 30 Finalist this week.
Cynthia Whitty leads the team in batting average this season, at .333. Whitty has been in the batter's box 36 times, registering 12 hits, and tallying three RBI.
Chelsea Peace has registered 51 at bats, scoring 12 runs, and leading the team in homeruns, at six. Peace also leads the squad with 17 RBI. As a team, Rollins is hitting .314.
Florida Southern:
The Mocs played 21 games in 2021; they went 0-4 against University of Tampa last week. Maddi Conner leads the team with 20 hits, while tallying two RBI, in 64 at bats. Kaylee Cowart is the key pitcher for the Mocs team. She has pitched in 45.1 innings with eight strikeouts and has won four games so far this season.
