Tars Close Regular Season Against No. 6 Tampa

Rollins will look to keep their postseason hopes alive, as they host the highly touted Tampa Spartans on the turf at Barker Family Stadium

SET UP:
Rollins will look to keep their postseason hopes alive, as they host the highly touted Tampa Spartans on the turf at Barker Family Stadium.  Tampa bested Rollins in the Tars season opener, but with experienced gained and a two week rest period, Rollins will hope to flip the script this time out.

No. 8 Rollins (5-1, 5-1 SSC):
Liz Fahey remains the Tars leading scorer, finding the back of the net 18 times, seventh most in the Sunshine State Conference.  Eden Cooke has dished out a team high nine assists, ranking sixth in the SSC. The pair are tied for the team lead with 21 overall points.  Hannah Forbes has collected 15 draw controls and Bridget Cawley has caused nine turnovers, which ranks fifth in the conference in caused turnovers per game.  Gabby Tanner has seen the majority of the action in net for Rollins.
 
No. 6 Tampa (6-1, 5-1 SSC):
Cece Colombo star for the Spartans, leading them in a number of statistical categories.  The sophomore is tied for the SSC lead with 17 assists' she has added 11 goals, good for team best 28 points; she has caused a team best 13 turnovers, collected a team high 26 draw controls, and is tied for second on the squad with 11 groundballs.  Graduate Student Genie Santarpio leads the Spartans in goals, finding the back of the net 17 times, tenth most in the conference.  Bridget Sutter and Alex Walling have split time in net for Tampa.  Walling made eight saves, and played the full 60 minutes in the last bout against the Tars.  The Spartans host Palm Beach Atlantic tonight, April 30, before hopping on I-4 for the trip to Winter Park.

Following this contest the Tars will await their NCAA Postseason fate.  The NCAA Selection Show is set for Sunday, May 9, at 8:30 p.m..
