After a stretch of scoreless possessions, Hudson connected with Fiona Rizzo to cut the deficit to one. The Fighting Knights answered late in the quarter, taking a 4-2 lead into the second.

Lynn added another to open the second frame, but Yerardi converted on a free-position opportunity to slow the momentum. Lynn closed the half with two additional goals to take an 8-4 advantage into the break.

The Fighting Knights maintained control in the third, capitalizing on defensive stops and adding two goals to extend the lead.
Rollins showed life early in the fourth, as Mendes scored off a Nickel assist. Lynn answered with three straight goals to push the margin, but Mendes struck again off a feed from Hudson. The Tars added two more late, Thurston connecting with Chloe Pierini before Yerardi found the cage, but Lynn closed out the scoring to secure the 16-8 victory.
