WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 14, 2026) – No. 17 Rollins women's lacrosse closed out the regular season with a 13-8 road victory over Palm Beach Atlantic on Tuesday evening.
Audrey Grace Mumford paced the offense with two goals and an assist, while 11 additional Tars found the back of the cage in the balanced effort. Defensively,
Ava Capasso and
Grace Barta each collected three ground balls, with Capasso also recording three caused turnovers.
Holyn Trautwein added four draw controls in the midfield. In goal,
Alyssa Lentz and
Anya Studebaker split time, combining for seven saves in the win.
Rollins opened the scoring just over a minute into the contest, as
Delanie Abere converted a free-position opportunity. Palm Beach Atlantic responded with two goals to take the lead, but
Chloe Pierini answered with a free-position tally to even the score. After the Sailfish regained the advantage late in the quarter,
Ashley Thurston secured the ensuing draw control, leading to
Delaney Hudson finding
Fiona Rizzo for the equalizer as the teams entered the second tied.
Trautwein gave the Tars the lead early in the second quarter, converting on a free-position chance. Both defenses held firm for the remainder of the period, sending Rollins into halftime with a one-goal advantage.
The Tars took control in the third.
Trautwein secured the opening possession, leading to Mumford finishing a pass from
Kali Gagnon to extend the lead. After a Palm Beach Atlantic goal, Hudson responded to push the margin back to two. Rollins continued to build momentum, as
Carsyn Christel connected with
Tess Hovivian, Bell added an unassisted goal, and Gagnon converted on a free-position opportunity.
Jayme Weber capped the run off a feed from Rizzo, giving Rollins a 10-4 lead entering the fourth quarter.
After a slow start to the final frame, Mumford broke through with her second goal of the night. Palm Beach Atlantic answered, but Mumford set up
Allegra Ryan to restore a seven-goal advantage. Mendes added another late goal off a Hudson assist to extend the lead, and despite two late scores from the Sailfish, Rollins secured the 13-8 victory.
Rollins improves to 10-7 overall and 1-6 in Sunshine State Conference play, while Palm Beach Atlantic falls to 6-9 (0-6 SSC). The win concludes the 2026 regular season for the Tars.
