Tars Offense Sputters Against Panthers

Rollins could not overcome an early Florida Tech goal, and fell 1-0 to the Panthers

MELBOURNE, Fla. (April 2, 2021) – Rollins could not overcome an early Florida Tech goal, and fell 1-0 to the Panthers, in spring action, on a breezy evening in Melbourne.  Rollins falls to 1-2-0 in spring competition, while Florida Tech improves to 2-0-2 overall.

Florida Tech got on the board early in the first half, beating Rollins goalkeeper Elena Beasley to make the score 1-0.  The remainder of the half was played evenly, but neither team could capitalize on their chances.

Both teams enjoyed spells of possession throughout the second 45 minutes.  Rollins goalkeeper Noel Miller made a handful of saves to keep the Tars in the contest until the final whistle.  However, Rollins, ultimately, could not break down the Panthers' defense to find the equalizer.
