SET UP:
After more than a year away from competition, the No. 7 Tars will return to action against a pair of Sunshine State Conference foes.  Rollins will make the trip to Tampa for a top-ten matchup against the No. 10 Spartans, before opening their home schedule, over the weekend, with a young Lynn team.

No. 7 Rollins (0-0, 0-0 SSC):
Caroline Gastonguay and Eden Cooke will look to initiate the Rollins attack this year; the pair tallied 13 and 6 assists respectively last year, leading the Tars.  They will be trying to feed Liz Fahey and Sammy Ottimo, who combined for 24 goals last season.  Hannah Forbes and Piper Trattner lead a defensive unit that gave up less than 7 goals per game.  They will play in front of Gabby Tanner, who return to Rollins after making 32 saves last season.

No. 10 Tampa (1-0, 1-0 SSC):
The Spartans jumped out to a 6-2 halftime lead, and withstood a Lion rally, to defeat Saint Leo, 10-9, in their season opener.  Lizzie Pierpont tallied four goals to lead Tampa.  Bridget Sutter and Alex Walling split time in cage, with Sutter making 10 saves, but Walling earning the win.

Lynn (0-0, 0-0 SSC):
The Fighting Knights open play on Wednesday against Florida Tech.  Lynn tallied a 4-3 record in their inaugural season, in 2020.  The Fighting Knights' team of underclassmen was led by sophomore Cailyn Doyle who tallied 23 goals and four assists on the offensive side of the field, and caused a team high 19 turnovers on the defensive end.

NEXT:
The Tars will prepare for a visit from No. 23 Florida Tech.  The first draw between the Tars and Panthers is set for 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 31.
