ORLANDO, Fla. (November 2, 2021) – The Tars concluded their fall season by hosting and finishing seventh at the McDonough Cup at Rio Pinar Country Club.Â
Rodrigo Rodas led the Tars, tallying an even par 72, to finish 19
th at the event.

The Tars added a 15 over par, 303, to rounds of 295 and 283 to finish the 54 holes with a score 881. Rollins recorded a 17 over for the event, finishing two shots ahead of Embry-Riddle.

Nova Southeastern picked up the team victory, shooting 20 under for the tournament. Eastern Florida shot the lowest round of the day to move up three spots and take second place. Mount Olive shot a five under par, 859, finishing third. Palm Beach Atlantic, at two under, and Indianapolis, at even par, round out the top five.

Rodrigo Rodas tallied a round of even par to shot one over for the event. The junior registered a top-20 result, tying for 19
th place. James Piao added a round of one over, 73, to rounds of 75 and 71, to finish at 219 for the event.Â
William Koepke tallied a 81 in the final round, after opening with a 70 and 71 on Monday.Â
Warut Wongrungroj and
Nicholas Diebel rounded the Rollins lineup.Â
Jacob Hair tied with Rodas, tallying a top-20 finish leading a group of Rollins individuals.

Javier Calles, of Nova Southeastern, chipped in for birdie on the 18
th hole to earn a one stroke victory, and take home individual medalist honors. Ian Aldorondo, of Embry-Riddle, shot a seven under to capture runner-up recognition. John Houchin recorded a third place finish, shooting a six under par. Jacob Shamblin, of Palm Beach Atlantic, Josep Serra, and Nic Whittaker all tied at four under par.
