  • SET UP
  • Rollins is coming off their first Sunshine State Conference victory of the season, and will look to retain that momentum, as they look for their second victory of the season over Saint Leo. The Tars defeated the Lions 3-0 at home, in non-conference play.

  • Rollins (4-2-2, 1-1-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tars picked up a vital SSC win by downing the Eckerd Tritons 3-1 last time out. Georgios Koliniatis converted a penalty kick in the win, and now sits atop the SSC with seven goals on the year. He has also added two assists to tie for the conference best with 16 points. Dominic Adomakoh is leading Rollins with three helpers this season. Maximillian Obermeier continues his stellar play in net, making 21 saves, and surrendering just 1.61 goals per game.

  • Saint Leo (3-6-1, 1-2-0 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lions pulled an upset over #3 Palm Beach Atlantic for their only SSC win of the year. Since that match Saint Leo has fallen to Eckerd, but rebounded with a win over Johnson. The Lions balanced attack is led by Dylan Smith, with two goals and two assists, good for six points. Overall, 11 different Lions has registered multiple points this campaign. The trio of Jackson Eckley, Joao Kozlowski and Zarri Riccardo have all seen time in net for Saint Leo. They have combined for a 60.5% save percentage.

  • #16 Palm Beach Atlantic (5-1-0, 2-1-0 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Sailfish fell out of the United Soccer Coaches top-25 following their loss against Saint Leo. However, Palm Beach Atlantic recovered to soundly defeat #11 Tampa, 3-0, last time out, and jump back into the rankings, at #16. Quenzi Huerman leads the attacking unit for PBA. The Frenchman has scored four goals and added three assists, good for 11 points. Fred Ferreira, Bicho Barguin, and Frederico Serra have also found the back of the net multiple times for the Sailfish. In goal Albert Escuin and Guillermo Falo have evenly split time, each conceding just two scores, and maintaining save percentages over 80%.

  • SET UP
  • Rollins is riding a three game winning streak, and they will look to continue that run with a pair of vital Sunshine State Conference matches.

  • Rollins (4-2-2, 1-1-1 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tars went on the road to pick up conference wins against Lynn, and an overtime triumph against Eckerd. The Blue and Gold will now host their first SSC foes of the 2021 season. Tayla Duffy netted the equalizer in the overtime win in St. Petersburg, and now leads the Tars with four goals on the season. The assist on her goal came from Vilja Aaltonen, who paces the Tars with a trio of helpers. Noel Miller has started the Tars two previous SSC contests. On the year the junior has tallied 17 stops, and is maintaining a goals against average of 0.85.

  • Saint Leo (1-7-1, 0-3-0 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lions are in the midst of a five game losing streak, and are still looking for their first conference victory of the campaign. They fell to Palm Beach Atlantic and in overtime to Eckerd last week, both games were played in Saint Leo. The Lions have only managed four scores on the season, they have come from Nina Mueller, Alyssa Abernot, Bella Arato, and Paula Miranda. Mueller has added two assists to her stat line. Maitane Bravo has seen a majority of the time goal. Her 41 saves are the most in the SSC.

  • #16 Palm Beach Atlantic (6-1-0, 3-0-0 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Sailfish have reeled off five straight victories, and hold an unblemished conference record. PBA is entering the week after back-to-back 2-1 victories coming on the road against the Lions and at home over the Tampa Spartans. Kylie Meola and Sydney Timmes lead the team with eight points each. Meola has netted a team best four goals, while Timmes has scored three times, and tallied a pair of assists. Rachel Neumann has seen most of the action in goal for the Sailfish. The senior has earned a 90.9% save percentage and is surrendering a miniscule 0.37 goals per game.

  • SET UP
  • Rollins (3-10, 0-6 SSC) will host a pair of SSC matches against Saint Leo (5-9, 1-5 SSC) and Eckerd (9-5, 2-4 SSC). Following the cancellation of their game last Saturday against Nova Southeastern, the Tars have not played a game since September 28.

  • The Tars received an unscheduled break in action, which might be just what they need to right the ship. By the time Rollins faces Saint Leo on Friday, it will have been ten days since the Tars last took the court. In that match against Florida Tech, Rollins won their first conference set of the season, and played tough throughout. Riley Spurlin continues to have a hold on the team lead in kills with 141, while freshman Lana Gerard broke the century mark with her 100th kill of the year last time out. Rebecca Kuehn is 4th in the SSC in assists (367) while teammate Charlie Durbin ranks 5th in digs with 200. Emma Begley has 21 blocks in her last five matches, and leads the team with 42 total.

  • Saint Leo (5-9, 1-5 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Lions had a rough start to conference play, dropping their first four games of the season. That changed last Friday when they scored a huge road win at Barry, taking down the Buccaneers in four sets. Unfortunately, they followed that with a four-set loss to Florida Tech. Ashley Quero is the leading attacker with 125 kills, followed by Brooke Turner at 113. Margaret Schirm is the top defender with 35 blocks on the year.

  • Eckerd (9-5, 2-4 SSC) | Roster | Schedule | Stats
  • The Tritons did the opposite of Saint Leo, defeating Florida Tech on Friday, then dropping their match against Barry on Saturday. Eckerd went 7-1 in non-conference play to start the year, and feature a balanced attack on offense and a tough defensive front line. Krysten Garrison is the reigning SSC Setter of the Week after tallying a whopping 86 assists in the Triton's two games last week. Her 436 assists are second-most in the SSC. The offense has three players … Joelle Coulter, Ranya Mehta, and Rachel Wisian … who have more than 100 kills on the year. Anna Jungjohann has racked up 52 blocks on the season, good for 4th in the conference.

  • SET UP
  • Rollins will take to the road once again, but make a significantly shorter trip, as they head to South Carolina for the Edisto Island Invitational, hosted by the College of Charleston. The Tars open their fall facing a third consecutive Division I field.

  • The Tars rallied from a slow start to bound up the leaderboard on the final day of the Princeton Invitational. The Tars shot the day's low round as they jumped from 10th to 6th. Rollins climb was led by a pair of freshman, as Carla Alvarez Perez finished in a tie for 13th after an even par final 18 holes, and Elizabeth Kondal shot the lowest final round score at the event with a two-under 70. The Tars also still have to experience of Katharina Hesse, Olivia Tamburlini, Jennifer Jung, and Liza Eubanks on the squad as well, as they continue to grow during their fall campaign.

  • SET UP
  • The Tars are coming off their first points regatta win in over a decade, and a successful showing in their own developmental regatta, and they look to continue to build a case for qualification in the SAISA Conference Championship.

  • Rollins | Roster | Schedule
  • The Tars were led to their points regatta win by captains Hilton Kamps and Carly Orhan. The pair steered their boats to four race wins and three second place finishes. The Tars only finished out of the top five in three of the day's 16 events. Rollins, who sit sixth in the standings, and on the edge of conference championship qualification, will now have to turn their attention to the Atlantic Coast and the waters near Daytona Beach for their final points regatta, hosted by Embry-Riddle.

  • The Field | SAISA
  • The Eckerd Tritons lept up the SAISA South Region rankings last week, and now sit atop the conference leaderboard. They are followed by South Florida and Miami, rounding out the region's top-three. Jacksonville, Florida, and Florida State are all still battling, along with the Tars, for a conference championship berth. Embry-Riddle will look to capitalize on home water advantage, while it is a short trip north for Florida Tech from Melbourne to Daytona Beach.

  • SET UP
  • Rollins men's tennis will host the annual Varner Memorial Invitational this weekend, with three schools competing. There will be one doubles bracket and two singles brackets for competition.

  • The Rollins men's tennis team made an impact at the ITA South Regional tournament in Lakeland, Florida two weeks ago. Denis Golubev was awarded the #13 overall seed in the 64-man singles tournament. The senior from Turin, Italy won a total of five matches, making his way to the finals. His luck ran out at the end, finishing second at the tournament. Efe Comu fought hard during the beginning round, but fell early to Barry's Alejandro Ibanez. He bounced back in the consolation bracket to pick up a pair of wins. Andrea Brignacca scored a victory over Palm Beach Atlantic in the first round. In the second round he would fall in heartbreaking fashion to end his weekend of play. In doubles, Brignacca and Golubev won three matches, but fell in the quarterfinals to Valdosta State. Rollins will be joined in the field by Eckerd College and Southeastern University.

  • SET UP
  • Rollins women's tennis will host their annual Varner Memorial Invitational this weekend, with five schools competing. Two flights of doubles matches, as well as four flights of singles play, begins on Friday afternoon and will end Sunday.

  • It has almost been two years since the Tars were able to host the Varner. At the ITA Regional two weeks ago, Georgina Groth was the highest ranked singles player for the Tars, #14 overall seed. Groth won three matches before falling to Barry. Polina Vlasova took the loss in the first round against Embry-Riddle. Vlasova then bounced back in the consolation bracket with a pair of wins. Alexandra Borg got her first win of the season against Palm Beach Atlantic. Junior Katie Groves won against Delta State before falling to Christian Brothers. The dynamic duo in doubles, Groth and Borg, finished last year ranked #4. They earned the #1 seed for the competition. They won the first three matches, however their road to the finals was put to an end in the quarterfinals when the Barry team upset the top team. The schools that will be in the field this weekend are Nova Southeastern, Eastern Florida Southern College, Florida Southern College and Eckerd College.

  • SET UP
  • The Tars are looking to qualify for their 15th consecutive NCWSA National Championship with a positive showing at the Regional Championships. Rollins boasts one of the most decorated waterskiing programs in the country.

  • Rollins | Roster | Schedule
  • The Tars opened their season as participants in the Florida Southern College Fall Collegiate on Sunset Lakes.
  • Women: Neilly Ross led the way for Rollins against Florida Southern. The highly decorated skier captured wins in both the slalom and tricks events. Charlsey Newman led the tars jumping unit, registering a fourth place result. The Tars will also look to their depth to lock up Nationals qualification, as they lean on Mia Morgan, Ana Josi Angulo and Cammile Diviak to score vital points.
  • Men: Diego Font and Patricio Font led Rollins efforts at Florida Southern, and will again look to push the Tars to NCWSA Championship qualification. The pair led Rollins in the slalom and tricks events. Collin Diviak had solid showings in all three events, as he looks to continue to be an elite overall skier in the Tars lineup.

  • The Competition
  • The Southern and Atlantic Coastal Region of the NCWSA houses some of the sports' most dynamic teams. Alabama are the reigning Regional Champions and National Runners-Up. Florida Southern provides stiff competition, as they will also make the trip to Tennessee form the Sunshine State. Clemson and Auburn have teams that are easily capable of earning qualification. Georgia and Lander also have a history of strong showings at the event. Overall the SAC Region houses teams from 20 states and the District of Columbia, from up and down the east coast and into the southeastern United States.
