Pennie Parker Named President of NACDA

First female Division II president in history of the association

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Rollins Associate Vice President of Athletics Pennie Parker was appointed the President of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics at the annual convention in June. Parker has served as a NACDA officer since 2006, and a committee member since 2015.

"I am truly humbled and honored to have the confidence of NACDA in me as a leader," remarked Parker. "Professionally, this organization has provided me with a strong foundation of leadership skills, and personally, it has given me the opportunity to build lifelong friendships with colleagues across the country

Parker replaces Sean Frazier of Northern Illinois University, who held the role for the 2025-26 school year.

Pennie began her Rollins career in 2002 in compliance before a promotion to Director of Athletics in 2006. She was named Associate Vice President of Athletics in 2022.

Over the course of the last two decades, Parker has led the athletic department to new heights with national championship appearances from women's golf, men's soccer, women's soccer, baseball and waterski, as well as dozens of NCAA playoff appearances from all sports. The Tars have won three national championships, three national runner-ups, 22 Sunshine State Conference titles, 13 SSC tournament titles, and five SSC Mayor's Cup trophies during her time at the helm of the department.

"Pennie Parker is an incredible asset to Rollins College, and I am so pleased that she's been named president of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics," said Rollins College President Brooke Barnett. "Being just the second non-Division I administrator ever to hold this position, and the first woman to do so, is a remarkable honor both for her, and for our entire college community."

Her hard work and ambition have not gone unnoticed amongst her peers. Pennie was named the Under Armour Division II Athletics Director of the Year in 2013, 2017, and 2021, and also earned the Nike Administrator of the Year in 2020, as voted on by Women Leaders in College Sport.

She is no stranger to executive roles on the national stage. Her previous titles include Chair of the NCAA D-II Managament Council in 2018; President of the Division II Athletic Director's Association (D2ADA) in 2016-17; Secretary and Treasurer of the Women Leaders in College Sport Board of Directors; and the NCAA Strategic Planning and Finance Committee.

"I'm incredibly excited to represent our membership as we navigate the evolving landscape of college athletics," added Parker. "While there is much work ahead, I firmly believe that our collective voices will play a critical role in shaping the future—especially in how it enhances and protects the student-athlete experience. I look forward to the journey ahead and the impact we will make together."
