Rollins in the Middle of the Pack After 36 Holes

The Tars sit in a tie for seventh position after two rounds of the hosting the Rollins Legends Invitational

ORLANDO, Fla. (October 25, 2021) – The Tars sit in a tie for seventh position after hosting the first two rounds of the Rollins Legends Invitational at the Country Club of Orlando.  Carla Alvarez Perez is holding a top-20 position, leading Rollins in a tie for 19th.

The Tars opened with a 303 over the first 18 holes, before tallying a 308 in the second round, giving Rollins a total score of 35 over, 611, at the 36 hole mark.  The Tars had held the fifth position after round one, but now sit tied with Barry in the seventh spot.
 
Top-ranked Lynn hold a one shot lead on fellow Sunshine State Conference rival Nova Southeastern.  Dallas Baptist sit in the final podium position, seven shots off the pace.  Lee and Florida Southern both climbed the leaderboard in the second 18 holes of the day and now round out the top-five.

Carla Alvarez Perez opened her day with 76, before tallying a two over, 74, in the second round to lead Rollins with a score of six over, 150.  Jennifer Jung lead Rollins with a first round 74, before carding a 78 in the second round, to sit in 23rd position.  Elizabeth Kondal is tied for 40th position with an overall score of 156, on rounds of 77 and 79.  Vee Thiara is tied with her teammate after scores of 79 and 77.  Bernardita Villalba rounds out the Tars lineup in a tie for 52nd, with a score of 159.  Katharina Hesse, playing as an individual registered a 150 to tie for 19th place.  Olivia Tamburlini and Liza Eubanks, also playing as individuals, are tied in the 32nd spot with scores of 155.
 
Lynn's Sara Ericsson is pacing the field with three under par, 141.  Loren Perez, of Florida Southern, and Sofia Garcia Austt, of Nova Southeastern, are tied for second with scores of even par, 144.  Lynn teammates Maria Hoyos and Alice Gatti join Barry's Alice Gotbring in a three way tie for fourth.

Teams will complete the Rollins Legends Invitational tomorrow, Tuesday, October 26.  Rollins will be teeing off at 8:30 a.m. from holes 9, 10, 11, and 12 at the Country Club of Orlando.
