WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 14, 2014) - Rollins
allowed two runs in the first and couldn't recover as the Tars fell
to top-ranked Tampa 9-0 Friday in Sunshine State Conference
action.
The Tars dropped to 12-9 on the year and 0-4 in SSC play while
UT moved to 21-1, 12-0 SSC.

Nicoletto each had a hit for Rollins. Matt
Hendricks took the loss on the hill, surrendering six runs on
six hits over six innings while striking out five.
Stephen Dezzi led UT, going 2-4 with four RBI on a pair of
two-run homers. Sean O'Brien went 3-4 at the plate with two
RBI.
Trey Oest tossed a Spartans complete game shutout, surrendering
the three Tars hits with five strikeouts.
Rollins fell into a 2-0 hole in the top of the first as Obrochta
walked to start the game and Dezzi homered on UT's next at bat.
In the fifth, Dezzi struck again with another two-run blast,
putting Tampa up 4-0. Another pair of Spartans runs came in the
sixth after a Nick Tindall single and O'Brien homer.
Tampa then tacked on another run in the seventh and two more in
the eighth.
Rollins and Tampa will play a SSC double header on Saturday,
March 15 at Alfond Stadium at Harper Shepherd Field. First pitch
