ORLANDO, Fla. (May 14, 2026) - The Sunshine State Conference announced their postseason awards on Thursday afternoon, as voted on by league coaches. Among the honorees were five players named All-SSC as well as two players named to the All-Defensive team.

Noah Greenseid
First Team Starting Pitcher
In his first season as a member of the blue and gold, Greenseid was handed the reins to the pitching staff from the get go. The Friday starter posted a 5-1 record on the year, with a team-best 2.74 ERA. In 72.1 innings of work, he allowed just 22 earned runs and struck out 59 batters, tying for the team lead. Opponents hit just .245 against him, and he holds a 1.27 WHIP. Greenseid tallied a season-high nine strikeouts against Assumption on February 13, and threw eight shutout inning versus Lynn on March 27.

Collin Hughes
First Team Utility
Hughes split his time between catcher and DH, but his bat was a constant threat in the Tars' lineup. At the time of voting, Hughes was hitting .405 on the year (62-153), becoming the first Rollins player since Grant Ashline in 2016 to clear the .400 mark. When he wasn't hitting, Hughes was still getting on base to the tune of a .521 OBP, helped by a team-high 31 walks and right HBP. He also showed plenty of pop with 14 doubles, two triples, and two home runs while scoring 42 times. HE has twenty multi-hit games on the year.

Brett Dennis
Second Team Starting Pitcher
Hughes was lights out in the first month of the season, allowing zero earned runs through four starts. Though teams eventually found a way to score, he still had a solid year with a 3.01 ERA across a team-high 77.2 innings. Teams struggled to hit him, as they only managed a .225 average against. Dennis also led the Tars with a 1.09 WHIP and tied for the strikeout lead with 59. In his third start of the year on Valentine's Day against Assumption, Dennis threw six perfect innings with six strikeouts.
#4 Matt Mateo
Second Team Outfielder
Mateo was the team leader in home runs this season with nine longballs. He had a scorching hot start, launching seven dingers in his first 17 games including NCAA tournament teams North Greenville, West Florida, and Seton Hill. Mateo finished second on the team in average (.341) and added an OBP of .424 with a SLG of .561. He also led the Tars with 40 RBI. He had a season high four hits against Eckerd on April 24, and drove in four versus Florida Southern on February 20.

Jimmy Thies
Second Team Third Base
After a slow start, the senior turned up the heat in the second half of his final season. Thies put together a slashline of .315/.457/.466 for an OPS of .923. He had 46 hits and got on base an additional 38 times thanks to 26 walks and 12 HBP. Thies scored 38 runs and also blasted ten doubles and four home runs. On February 27 at Saint Leo, Thies went 4-4 with a career high three doubles. He is also riding a 20-game on-base streak heading into the NCAA South Regional.

Jimmy Thies
All-Defensive Team - Third Base
In addition to his offensive prowess, Thies earned the reputation of top glove at third base in the conference. He was third on the team with 78 assists from the hot corner, and committed just five errors on 118 chances this season. He helped his pitchers by turning ten double plays, and also started a triple play back on March 10 against Concordia-St. Paul.

Connor O'Sullivan
All-Defenisve Team - First Base
O'Sullivan started 46 games at first for the Tars, and was the busiest player on the field. In 369 chances, he committed just one error for an impressive .997 fielding percentage. He led the entire SSC in chances, putouts (354), and double plays (38).
