Anterist Takes Home Conference Player of the Week

This is the first time the sophomore has earned the award in his career

ORLANDO, Fla. (April 27, 2026) – The Sunshine State Conference released their Player of the Week nominations Monday, and one Tar stood above the rest on the men's tennis side. Mo Anterist earned the recognition after convincing wins on both the singles and doubles courts, the first honor of his career.

Anterist has put together an incredible campaign, achieving a combined 28 wins. In doubles, the Saarbrucken, Germany product has teamed up with fellow countryman Fabian Gusic for a 12-3 record from the middle. On his own, Anterist has gone 16-2, playing across lines four and five this year.

Friday's 6-2, 6-1 winner from court four marked his sixth straight solo victory, while the sophomore has strung together four in a row in duo action. After a two-year hiatus from conference player of the week recognition, Monday's nod marks the second time a Tar has achieved the award in two months. Freshman Lawson Prather was highlighted by the SSC back on February 23rd. This is the first time since the 2020 season a pair of Rollins College student-athletes have been selected.

"For a guy who has put in a lot of work between his first year and this season, I'm really happy to see it pay off," head coach Jay Friedman shared upon hearing the news.

"I am very excited to see his continued growth curve," Friedman later remarked.

Anterist and his fellow Tars will hit the road later this week for Boca Raton as postseason play gets underway. The men will take the courts Thursday at 9am for a quarterfinal matchup with Embry-Riddle in the SSC tournament. Be sure to stay tuned for the latest at Rollinssports.com.
