WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 2, 2026) – The Rollins women's rowing Varsity 8+ has been named the Sunshine State Conference Women's Rowing Boat of the Week following a dominant season-opening performance on Lake Maitland.
The Tars' top boat opened the 2026 campaign with a statement victory over conference rivals Barry and Nova Southeastern, finishing 10 seconds ahead of the Sharks while posting a winning time of 6:57.3. Rollins also placed two Varsity 8 boats within five seconds of each other, highlighting both the speed and depth of the program early in the season.

Rollins returns to Lake Maitland next weekend for the Rollins Invitational, the final home regatta before the Tars head on the road for the remainder of the season.
