OCALA, Fla. — Rollins Swimming closed out competition Sunday at the 2026 Sunshine State Conference Championships, producing four NCAA Division II B-cut performances and two school records to cap a strong week in the pool.
Senior
Luke Dinges delivered one of the top performances of the night in the men's 200 backstroke, touching in a school-record time (1:45.42) and NCAA B-cut qualifying mark to reset the Rollins standard. The record-breaking swim highlighted another standout championship meet for Dinges, who consistently scored across multiple events throughout the week.
The Tars added additional B-cut swims in the sprint freestyle events, as senior
William Slowey posted a qualifying time in the 100 freestyle (44.05), while junior
Seth Basinger (45.04) also met the NCAA B standard in the same event to give Rollins a pair of provisional marks in the championship final.
On the women's side,
Taiylor Tegler continued her strong postseason run with an NCAA B-cut performance in the 200 breaststroke (2:19.35), adding valuable points in the championship heat.
The meet concluded with a record-setting performance from the men's 400 freestyle relay, as the quartet of Basinger, Carter, Dinges, and Slowey combined for a school-record time (2:57.33) to close the championships on a high note.
Rollins finished the five-day championship meet with momentum on both sides, highlighted by multiple school records, numerous NCAA B-cut performances, and consistent scoring across the lineup. Both teams placed sixth overall, the women tallying 230 points and the men with 316.50.
The Tars now await potential NCAA selections, with the National Championship taking place in Indianapolis starting on March 11.
